And I was not the only one to realize skincare needs to be more consumer safe. BeautyCounter, a safe cosmetic company, also began as Mali Mali has. Their founder, too, recognized the growing concern of too few regulation on potentially harmful ingredients in the US.
The European Union (EU), on the other hand, has banned over 1,300 chemicals and restricted 250 plus over the past twenty years. The US’s last major legislation regarding safe cosmetics was the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, passed in 1938, and has thus neglected to ban many known carcinogens.
Mali Mali has made sure, that regardless of ineffectual regulation on many cosmetics in the US, to use safe ingredients.
